President's Message

Since we are no longer publishing Focal Points, our most excellent newsletter for many years, I'm using our web site to make a few announcements.

First, I'm happy to welcome our two newest members, Peggy Sue Tierney and David-Michael Kenney. The members who referred them to VCPWN will receive a free dinner at the next meeting. See, it pays to spread the word about our organization!

Next item, September is the month we give the Wind Beneath My Wings award. If there is someone who you feel has lifted you up in difficult times and helped you to soar, we ask that you write an essay (it doesn't have to be long) describing what it is about that person that makes them the wind beneath your wings. Email your essay to info@vcpwn.org by August 31, and you may be the member who receives this wonderful award. There is a list of past recipients here on the web site.

Finally, our second annual Business Tabletop Expo and Mixer is in the works. It will replace our October meeting. Applications for vendor tables are being accepted now. Please see the postcard attached below, which you are invited to download and forward to everyone in your circle of influence. We also have a fabulous grand prize for a special drawing: Fry's Electronics has generously agreed to donate a 42" television! Tickets are only $5, available for advance purchase, but you must be present to win.
