Designer's Delight Sparkles

On Sunday, February 1, Barbara Marquis and Sue Gary jointly hosted members and their guests for a “Designer’s Delight” Champagne/Dessert Fundraiser.

Barbara, who is an interior designer and owner of Marquis Interiors, conducted guided tours through the Gary residence, explaining how she re-arranged the furniture, furnishings, accessories, collectibles and window treatments, with very minimal purchase of new items. Barbara also explained how to arrange furniture and furnishings in rooms to their most attractive advantage; what is the best way to display collectibles; how to arrange a picture gallery; how to enhance your color palette; and how you can use the furnishings you already have to enhance your rooms, without spending additional money.

Also available to share their experience were Doug and Gerry Massey, painters, who were responsible for the color palette on the walls, as they had previously painted the home interior. Champagne and dessert was served.

Barbara said, “I am proud to have accomplished this project and am grateful to Sue Gary for giving me the opportunity to enhance her beautiful home and showcase my expertise.”
